Janet Schiff
Born 1973 Milwaukee

Janet created a cello with a guitar and coat hanger at age 7.
Began formal cello studies at The Wisconsin Conservatory of Music at age 10.
Composed first score while studying at The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Janet has had the opportunity to work with and study under many fine musicians.
She has diverse influences ranging from Amadeus to Zeppelin.

Ms. Schiff uses Jargar steel and silver cello strings for their strong, bright and quick response,
dark Hill rosin for precise tones, and a Bam cello case for protection.

Janet is performing, studying, teaching,and composing
with her 1913 Romanian cello and residing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
